We invited the Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) Board of Directors to introduce us to the newly enhanced Vision, Mission, and Statement of Beliefs.WIN Board Member, Doug Reader, Senior Managing Director at Kainos Capital, shared his thoughts below with a focus on:✒ WIN VISION: Achieve economic and social equality in the global nutraceutical industry.✒ WIN MISSION: WIN offers tools, networking, visibility and mentoring to create an environment where women have an equal place in the leadership and evolution of the global nutraceutical industry, and where they can reap equally personal fulfillment, social and economic benefits.I have been in the weight loss supplement consumer products space for over 40 years. I have lived in a world where the playing field was not level. As a man, it never felt like discrimination or that there was some plan not to make the playing field level; it was just happening. I have worked on brands that were more 'women' focused, yet more men led. WIN was the first organization that I was aware of that wanted to shine a light on the age-old trend. There are likely others. This was just the first I knew about. WIN impressed me as a group of PEOPLE that wanted to make a difference. We are not here to complain about it, but yet do something about it.Second, I have a 13-year-old daughter. She is amazing and will likely change the world. I want her to be in a world where people see her as exactly that... a person. I am not looking for her to be given a break or advantage based on her gender, race, or economic status. I am looking for my daughter to earn her way and have that chance because she is talented and the best person to impact the world in that area.WIN is going to open the doors to mentoring, support, awareness and a group of PEOPLE (women and men) that care about making a difference in the world by leveraging the strengths and talents of all people. I have dedicated my time (volunteer) and money because I know WIN will do exactly that... WIN at making an impact. So that is where I am coming from and why. Make a ripple- you will never know where the impact leads.Learn more about WIN’s foundational beliefs here: https://lnkd.in/giHJBfVrKaren E. LOTS of research has shown the powerful and positive impact that women on boards have on companies. I am privileged to serve on the Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. board with two AMAZING, SMART and TALENTED women, Grace Colón and Catherine J. "Kitty" Mackey, Ph.D.!If you are searching for evidence, here's a few articles to check out:-Harvard Business Review, https://lnkd.in/gHXYA_CS, “Women on boards improve the quality of discussions”-, https://lnkd.in/g8eNq8wp, “Companies in the top quartile for board-gender diversity are 27 percent more likely to outperform financially than those in the bottom quartile.”-Deloitte, https://lnkd.in/gWBAS3aG, “Companies with more diverse boards have shown that they tend to perform better financially”I am grateful that I get to serve on a board with great people (diverse women and men), an incredible management team and a talented workforce (both also diverse), making a difference for patients every day. It’s a rewarding experience to serve on a board comprised of three women and to experience the dynamics and impact cited in the above research.#boardofdirectors #womenonboards #boardimpact

Women Leadership in PharmaLook at us- so much energy!!! ❤️ Just an example, one picture from our annual kick off meeting earlier this year.Recently we’ve seen the true bravery of women fighting for our protection. I’m totally in awe of women taking their place and contributing in all fields of life. I want to drill down about women leadership in my field, leadership in pharmaceuticals.Did you know that in Gilead Israel women represent 80% of the workforce? One more interesting fact,in our leadership team women represent 59%And I’m very proud of this.😊 By encouraging women to take up leadership roles, the pharmaceutical sector can benefit from diverse perspectives, increased creativity, and a deeper understanding of patient needs.Women leaders often have a better understanding of women's health issues, leading to the development of more inclusive and effective treatments for various medical conditions.Studies have shown that companies with diverse leadership teams, including women, tend to outperform those without such diversity, leading to better business outcomes.By embracing and promoting women's leadership in the pharmaceutical sector, companies like Gilead Sciences can unlock the full potential of their workforce, foster a culture of innovation, and drive positive changes in the healthcare industry. Empowered women leaders can bring about transformative advancements in medical research, drug development, and patient care.https://lnkd.in/dJcnnzxC

Imagine the next big project being announced, it's offered to you and you feel confident and happy to accept itImagine the next team meeting and your manager turns to you and asks your opinion on what action should be taken, not just who they should speak to about the action they've already decided on. Imagine having a plan and knowing who to approach and how to approach them to get that promotion you have wanted for so long. That doesn't have to be imaginary. You can make this happen. This is what I help women like you to do. Let's have a conversation about whether I can help you too. #pharma #professionalwomen #workingmothers #gendergap

Isn't it high time to expose and educate our world about women's health conditions like PCOS, Period Pain, Perimenopause and more? We're in the golden age of progress where game-changing brands are constantly pushing the envelope. They're clearing the fog, making us understand that these health conditions can be managed far better than ever. Consider this: Every day, we're witnessing advancements that were unheard of a few years ago. Yet, so many of us remain in the dark. Enough is enough. These brands aren't just about products. They're about lives changed, about personal battles won. They're about brave women who chose to rise above their circumstances. Let's not just stand on the sidelines. Let's champion these brands that are tearing down myths, empowering women, and saving lives. Let's amplify their powerful declarations and the inspiring personal stories of women who refuse to be defined by their health conditions. So, are you ready to join the rally? Let's change the narrative, together!

It’s frustrating when the thoughts and decisions are cluttered and mixed up. But once they are put into order, you know where to start and what to do. And that’s at least half the battle. How about you? Which thoughts and decisions are whirling at the moment? Whether to accept staying where you are? Or take the risk of daring to want or ask for more? But fearing the response and not actually knowing where to start? Where you could start is a conversation with me to explore whether I could help you. I work with frustrated women in pharma to help them learn how to get across their value so they can access the opportunities they deserve. A conversation is free so what do you have to lose? We’re taking you behind-the-scenes at last week’s Future Food Tech San Francisco. Our team engaged in discussions with leading CPG companies on co-developing health + wellness products within the no-high cannabinoid category. Our CEO, Caitlyn Krebs, had the privilege of joining a breakfast hosted by Danone, focusing on women’s pivotal role in the food revolution. Led by Isabelle Esser the event spotlighted successful women leaders in food-tech, including Katie Stebbins, Ryan Shadrick Wilson, and Stephanie Culler. A key takeaway was the importance of mentorship in fostering women leaders in food tech. As a company with a majority-female board of directors, we are committed to empowering women. Our focus extends to addressing the women’s wellness gap with no-high cannabinoid products, aiming to positively impact women's health outcomes —a $1 trillion opportunity according to . #BTS #WellnessInnovation #FFT2024 #WellnessGap #WomensHistoryMonth
