The clock is ticking for Amazon Prime Video subscribers to catch the Oscar-winning crime thriller, Anatomy of a Fall, before it departs from the platform.
The film, which was released in 2023 and clinched the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay along with four other nominations, has been hailed by fans as 'one of the best crime thrillers.'
It also holds an impressive 96 percent critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with audiences giving it a solid 90 percent.
Directed by French filmmaker Justine Triet, the plot revolves around Sandra, a woman accused of murdering her husband Samuel, and her struggle to prove her innocence. As the courtroom drama unfolds, unsettling truths about their relationship emerge.
The cast features German actress Sandra Hüller (The Zone of Interest) as Sandra, Samuel Theis (Softie) as Samuel, and Milo Machado-Graner (Le choix) as their partially blind son, Daniel.

Amazon Prime Video will stop streaming the acclaimed drama after Friday, March 28.
Upon its release, the film received rave reviews from viewers, reports Surrey Live. One IMDB user enthused: "The movie instantly hooked me and kept me captivated the entire time. The dialogues were some of the best I've ever gotten to watch in a film."
The viewer further added: "There are spins and turns. Some very beautiful lines that resonate. The writing showed understanding of the intricacies of multicultural relationships. Some moments were intense and made me cry."
Another cinema enthusiast shared their admiration, saying: "Anatomy of a Fall is an engrossing courtroom drama that packs a miniseries' worth of story in two and a half hours."
They continued to express their praise: "I totally see why it garnered so much acclaim[...] It is exactly the kind of legal drama I've wanted to see for years. THIS is the standard of [the] crime genre that all other films now have to live up to."

On Google Reviews, another movie buff hailed it as "One of the best crime thriller courtroom movies."
While the film has received numerous accolades, there's a consensus among many that Hüller was snubbed at the Oscars, deserving recognition for her role. She was nominated for Best Lead Actress but lost out to Emma Stone in Poor Things.
Disappointed fans expressed their feelings on X, with one stating: "Anatomy of a Fall definitely deserved the screenplay Oscar but no awards for the performances is kind of an abomination."
Reflecting on Hüller's Oscar miss, another admirer recently said: "Sandra Hüller deserved an Oscar for Anatomy of a Fall. What a film!!"
